Self-awareness semiar: Journey into an Alternate Reality
Friday, 5th – Sunday, 7th of July, 2019
Weekend Seminar with „Ritual Body Postures and Ecstatic Trance“®
Seminar Coach: Sabine Rittner
Location: Odenwald-Institut / Wald-Michelbach, near Darmstadt
This self-experience seminar offers participants the opportunity to reach the various states of trance in a ritualised, protected setting, which can be truly salutary and can expand the conscious mind.
With the help of the Ritual Body Postures as rediscovered by anthropologist Prof. Felicitas Goodman, we will open the doors for an alternate or expanded reality. This method follows an ancient path to the treasures of archaic layers of our consciousness. In these rituals, which involve a rhythmically stimulated ecstatic state of trance, we experience visions and receive answers to questions asked. They revolve mostly around the topics of:
healing – metamorphosis – soul journey – speaking truthfully.
For those interested, this group can be an area for experimentation and provide impulses for focused work on personal topics. This will revolve around giving up control, letting go, not “understanding” anything, surrendering to the unpredictable, and gaining confidence in being in a larger whole. In addition, we will rediscover our voice as our very own medium, which allows us to gently fall into meditative, regenerative trance.
„Ritual Body Postures and Ecstatic Trance”® by Professor Felicitas Goodman, trance dance and drumming, sound and trance, hypnotherapy, meditation, and singing of mantras and simple ritual-like chants. We use creative means of expression (movement, painting, writing, making music) and sharing with the group to help shape, process, and integrate our impressions.
This seminar will also include the beautiful surrounding nature of the Odenwald. In the evening, we will use the force of fire for a cleansing ritual.
